This 1965 Ford Mustang hardtop is owned by Les Eggebraaten, who bought it more than 10 years ago in Arizona. It's been repainted in Columbine Blue, an original Ford color only used in a package called the High Country Special, limited to a few hundred cars only in the Western Plains. Otherwise, the car remains pretty much stock, with a 289 cubic-inch engine equipped with a 4-barrel carburetor and a 4-speed manual transmission.
The only mechanical changes have been a new front suspension, the front brakes converted from drums to discs and the installation of Ford 351 engine cam. Chrome dished hubcaps cover the wheels, with the Ford logo painted on each. Tires are 195/70 x 14 in front and 215/60 x 15 in the rear. The interior is blue vinyl.
